Compost Manure

Bio – composting is cycle of 45 days as follows:

1st to 5th day: Collection/Hauling of materials, Formation of Windrows and trimming 1st pass of Homogenizing machine to reduce the moisture content of press mud to 50%.

Inoculation of Bio-Culture, to stimulate the microbial activity and stops the development of order at the ratio of 1 kg per 1 MT of press mud.

II nd pass of homogenizing machine every day.

6th to 40th day: Maintenance of moisture between 50% to 60% w/w through spraying of distillery spentwash, temperature rises from 40°C – 70°C at the peak of composting process.

Spraying of 80 to 100 ltrs of spentwash per MT of press mud, twice a day along with homogenizing the windrow, using homogenizing machine.  Repeat the process for 35 days.

41 to 45th day: Curing, Aging and Drying.

Distillery spentwash spraying application is stopped at the end of 40th day compost is allowed to cure and age, until moisture stabilizes at 30%.

46th day onwards: Disposal of organic manure to farmers after enrichment programme.
